Taken in the morning light at Blockhouse Pond.
Looking into the morning sun.
These two were fun to work with. I was hired to do a photo shoot and decided to use Blockhouse Pond for the session. The morning light with the fall colors was perfect.
I find it difficult to get two dogs to sit still and pay attention to me for a photograph but these two were very patient subjects.
Marty & Ellie’s owners wanted to stay out of the photograph but, in this scene, I asked Bob if he would stay in the frame so I could capture the three of them together.
Concentrating on something out in the pond and allowing me to capture her with the sun hitting her face… Thanks Marty
As we were walking around the pond I found this spot where I would have the morning sunlight hitting the sides of Marty & Ellie. They sat there and looked at me (with Marylinda standing behind me holding a biscuit) giving me a great opportunity to shoot with the focus on Marty with Ellie in the background. It’s one of my favorites of the morning shoot.
Another of my favorites with Ellie sitting so casually with a smile on her face.
As you can see Ellie’s point of focus shifted as her owner moved to my right. She was keeping her eye on the biscuit.
Again, Ellie and Marty sitting so patiently while I was taking my photographs.
Sunlight in the morning has a golden glow and it’s a great time to do portrait photography. It also helps to have two beautiful subjects.
This is Marty’s way of saying… “Come on, take the picture already”.
Another of my favorite images from the morning shoot. The sunlight was just hitting Marty perfectly and she looked “Proud” to be having her photograph taken.
I included this photograph in this set because it shows just how sweet that Ellie is. Both her and Marty were a joy to shoot and I thank their owners for hiring me to do so.
